Restricted Fire Zone - Ban Lifted

Effective Saturday, July 25

The Ministry of Natural Resources has revoked the Restricted Fire Zone (Fire Ban) for our area, effective 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2026.

As you enjoy having campfires again, please remember to burn responsibly:

Keep fires small and under control.

Have water or a shovel nearby.

Never leave a fire unattended.

Make sure your fire is completely extinguished before leaving.

The MNR reminds everyone to continue using extreme caution and to follow Ontario's Outdoor Fire Regulations, as fire conditions can change quickly. If wildfire hazard levels increase, restrictions may be reinstated.

PUBLIC NOTICE

Please Respect Road Closed Signs

We ask all residents and visitors to stop driving through Road Closed signs and entering work zones while road construction is underway.

When paving equipment and crews are actively working, the road is closed for everyone's safety. Driving through these areas puts construction workers, equipment operators, and motorists at serious risk of injury.

In addition, driving on freshly placed asphalt before it has properly cooled and cured can:

Damage the new pavement and create ruts, marks, and uneven surfaces.

Reduce the quality and lifespan of the road.

Result in costly repairs and project delays.

Road closures are in place for a reason. Please follow all posted signs, barricades, and directions from construction personnel. Your cooperation helps keep everyone safe and ensures the new roadway is completed properly.

You must get a fire permit if you wish to have an open-air fire between April 1st and October 31st of each year.
